About: This project was one of the most labour intensive, and also rewarding experiences from my school years. The concept was to make a 3D/2D integrated music visualizer, using the sound effector in C4D mixed into live footage shot around London. I started with the filming, going around London to find the interesting areas. I then assembled and colour corrected the footage in premiere and timed it to the music. After this I began importing the footage into C4D, created the geometry using basic shapes and arrays, matched perspective/lighting, and added the sound effector to animate. I then rendered each scene with multipass layers and assembled them in After Effects over my original footage, then added in the 2D animations using After Effects’ audio spectrum effect and composited them to match the shots as well.
