About: A 1 minute pump up video that is usually played mid 1st or mid 9th inning at Blue Jays games to hype the crowd and the players. This video was to be mostly used during Canada 150 month, so I decided to go for a red design, along with boosting the reds during the colour grading process.

About: A short ad for the Blue Jays social media pages that is played in the stadium pregame. The voice over had a lot to say for a 30 second ad, so every animation had to be quick and concise to contain all the necessary information clearly.

About: This is my first crack at architectural modeling in Blender. I was really attracted by the thought of a using neutral colour scheme to keep the focus on the lighting of the scene, and give it a modern look. The lighting was achieved using a third party plug in called filmic, which allows the intensity of the lights to be increased beyond the normal values to fill in the darker areas, without overexposing the rest of the scene. The windows and countertop are built in assets to Blender, but all other elements were modeled and textured from scratch.

About: A series of quick outros for Diply's various Facebook verticals. I started with previously made assets, and put them into motion, basing my design off the style that each page represents. I then added sound effects to add an extra layer of appeal.

About: There’s nothing better after a hard day's work than a nice whiskey on the rocks, and I really wanted to capture that feeling of refreshment in this image. I kept the background elements neutral to draw the eye to the rich brown colour of the whiskey. The glass, ice cubes and water were all modeled from scratch, while the whiskey was made using a standard fluid simulation. The light source is simply the background being used as an emission layer. For the finishing touches I added a shallow depth of field on the camera to further draw the attention to the center of the frame, as well as some colour correction and a subtle vignette added in Photoshop.

About: We approached LoveSac about doing a quick factual style video featuring one of their products to release on Diply's Facebook pages. I was tasked with planing the shoot, cinematography, editing and titling the video. The results were absolutely amazing, with the video getting over 21 million views, and driving absolutely huge revenues to LoveSac. About: My second production using the DJI Phantom 3. I really tried to push the riskiness of my shots in this video. Speeding down narrow leaf covered paths, and capturing the trees blowing around in 30km/h winds almost cost me my drone a few times, but I feel it really seizes the feeling of the fall season. All footage was edited and colour corrected in Premiere Pro, with the titles done in After Effects.

About: A walk through video for TD Canada employees teaching them about the business cycle for small businesses. This video offered up a challenge when it came to animating the gears. The synchronization was achieved by using a script which divided the number of teeth in the smaller gears over the number of teeth in the centre gear to alter the speeds so the teeth aligned while rotating.

About: I brought my Phantom 3 with me on vacation and decided to get some aerial shots for the owners of the camp we were staying at. I'm fairly impressed with the results of the Phantom's camera considering it's smaller size. All photos were shot in raw format and colour corrected and edited in Photoshop.

This is a neat little sculpture I created using Cinema 4D. I started with only a cube and a plane, and with some extrusion and shaders ended up with the basic structure of the water and the ground. I then created a nice light aqua glass texture for the water and a concrete texture with a bump map for the concrete. I added in a basic 3 point lighting system, and using caustics with a very high render setting, I was able to get the striped light effects you see on the floor and within the water.

About: A quick concise sales video that demonstrates what Pinelake can do for their clients. Our team was tasked with fitting all the necessary visual information in just 40 seconds. We decided to go with a pastel colour palette, using the orange to represent the company logo, and using the complimentary blue to accent it. I was tasked with making the animation light and bouncy, which I managed to do by customizing the motion paths in After Effects’ graph editor. I also needed to ensure the final edit was balanced between keeping the viewer engaged, while not rushing through the information, or going too slow and boring them.

About: A quick guide to navigating account details in Manulife's Mobile Banking App. This project was fun to work on as it offered a lot of variety. Completion involved editing and colour grading live footage, 2D motion animation, and integrating 3D elements from Cinema 4D.

About: Instructions on the correct way to handle an employee who has received alcohol and drug testing results. Loblaw had requested a new design that differed from their previous videos, so this project was the first one of it's style. The new characters were quite enjoyable to animate and I was able to make them more lively than the previous style.

About: A series of short intro animations made for Pinelake. I wanted to test the capabilities of vanilla After Effects, so all intro's were built without any 3rd party plug ins or 3D software.

About: An demo video instructing users on how to use the Blackberry Passport keyboard and all of it's features. One of the more difficult Blackberry demos to make, as recreating typing, suggested words, and inserting suggested words involves extensive layering and organization. Category: 3D/2D Integration
About: This project was one of the most labour intensive, and also rewarding experiences from my school years. The concept was to make a 3D/2D integrated music visualizer, using the sound effector in C4D mixed into live footage shot around London. I started with the filming, going around London to find the interesting areas. I then assembled and colour corrected the footage in premiere and timed it to the music. After this I began importing the footage into C4D, created the geometry using basic shapes and arrays, matched perspective/lighting, and added the sound effector to animate. I then rendered each scene with multipass layers and assembled them in After Effects over my original footage, then added in the 2D animations using After Effects’ audio spectrum effect and composited them to match the shots as well.
